But believe me, I would like to heal. If you knew how exhausting it is to be trapped in your own unhappiness. To get used to grief. To forget yourself. To no longer see beyond the confusion of tears. To no longer be able to escape. To be stuck in the routine of uncontrollable, unbridled, abusive emotionality, full of torrents and collapsing skies. And, even when we try to get better, when the pain begins to disappear, we feel ourselves disappearing with it. As if our identity were hidden beneath the tears. As if we had been there for too long. Could this be healing? To be able to answer the question: Who am I beyond my unhappiness?
